BrightSpring Health Services Announces 2022 Brighter Futures Scholarship Recipient

BrightSpring Health Services (BrightSpring), one of the nation’s leading home and community-based health services providers for complex populations, announced Sara Montoya-Obando as the recipient of its next and most recent BrightSpring Brighter Futures Scholarship. Ms. Montoya-Obando will study communications at the University of Louisville this fall.

“We are really excited and proud to be able to help dedicated students achieve their goals and advance their education, career and life journey through the Brighter Futures Scholarship,” said Jon Rousseau, BrightSpring’s President and CEO. “Candidates like Ms. Montoya-Obando, who care about their community and give of their time to make it better, while also maintaining academic success, embody the ideal recipient of the scholarship. We would like to wish Ms. Montoya-Obando every success in her pursuit to become a journalist.”

BrightSpring, in partnership with the BrightSpring Brighter Futures Scholarship Fund through the Community Foundation of Louisville, created the academic scholarship in 2021. This scholarship supports BrightSpring’s continued commitment to invest in ongoing improvements in communities so that they become healthier and more independent by bringing opportunities to talented individuals and those in need.

The scholarships awarded annually consist of $10,000 per year and are renewable for up to four consecutive years ($40,000 in total) for each deserving student.
