BrightSpring Senior Director Graduates from Ignite Louisville Program; Participates in Nonprofit Challenge

BrightSpring Health Services / April 12, 2019

BrightSpring Health Services is proud to acknowledge Molly Fox, senior director of revenue cycle and finance for graduating from the 21st class of Leadership Louisville’s Ignite Louisville program.

Ignite Louisville, a selective six-month program that grows young professionals by developing key components of leadership, has graduated over 950 up-and-coming leaders and prepared next-generation talent for expanded roles within their organizations and communities. As part of the course requirements, the class took part in the Ignite Louisville Challenge, an opportunity for the individuals to work in teams to undertake a project for a local nonprofit. The opportunity provides valuable experience in community leadership, board involvement and teamwork.

Since 2005, Ignite Louisville participants have worked on over 125 projects for area nonprofits to plan, execute and sustain new strategies for success. Participating nonprofits benefit from the expertise and energy of the teams, which each invest hundreds of hours with their nonprofit agency as they compete for donations. Following a day of presentations to a panel of esteemed judges, six teams put their work for local nonprofits on display in hopes of winning the Ignite Louisville Challenge and earning additional funds for the agency they worked to assist.

Molly’s team, “Seven Wonders,” benefitted River City Housing, a small nonprofit organization that restores rundown and often abandoned properties to build homes for first-time, low-income homebuyers. The group helped the organization recruit and retain talent, diversify their funding sources, create a strong foundation and establish a framework for all staffing and operations. To do this, they created relationships with hiring agencies for labor as well as local universities for interns. They also overhauled the organization’s bylaws to prepare them to attain well-networked board members and revamped their standard operating procedures to clearly define staff roles and expectations. As a result, River City Housing has already hired new employees through using their new tools, concepts, platforms and marketing materials.
