At BrightSpring Health Services, we are proud to support the mission of StepStone Family & Youth Services, one of our family of brands dedicated to improving lives and strengthening communities. StepStone’s work is centered on a simple yet profound goal: creating safe, supportive, and loving environments where children and youth in foster care can thrive. StepStone Family & Youth Services’ 2024 Child & Family Impact Report reflects this mission in action, demonstrating the extraordinary dedication of foster families and the StepStone team’s commitment.
In 2024, 1,206 children lived in StepStone foster homes, each receiving individualized care, stability, and attention during a critical time in their lives. These homes are more than just places to stay—they are spaces of healing, belonging, and new beginnings. Just as significant, 599 children exited the StepStone network with a positive permanency outcome, including reunification with family, adoption, or guardianship. These outcomes represent the shared goal of providing every child the opportunity to grow up in a permanent, supportive home. These numbers tell a story far deeper than data. They reflect lives transformed, futures reshaped, and communities strengthened through StepStone’s trauma-informed care model, close collaboration with local agencies, and the unwavering compassion of foster families, social workers, and behavioral health professionals.
As BrightSpring continues to advance quality care and outcomes across our organization, we remain committed to supporting StepStone’s ongoing efforts to expand access to care, recruit and train dedicated foster families, and innovate to meet what children and families need most – compassion, consistency, and the opportunity to heal and grow.
We are proud of the progress StepStone achieved in 2024, encouraged by the successes seen in 2025, and inspired by the work still to come. Together, BrightSpring and StepStone are helping build brighter futures, one child at a time.
