These are excerpts from a letter written on May 24, 2022, by Cal Chong and Joey Crawford, parents and guardians of ResCare Community Living client David Chong.
We are writing to express our appreciation for everything the staff… does for David. It is so reassuring to know that he has such loving, patient, generous caregivers. They all work so hard, each and every day, to make sure David is safe and healthy and comfortable. We just want you to know how much we appreciate that.
We’re also indebted to them for the kindness they show us when we come… for a visit. We’re always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. We often find ourselves wondering how they find the time to get everything done – caring for David and all the other clients, cooking meals, cleaning the house, and still managing to make us feel at home whenever we drop by!
We know that the past couple of years, with the COVID pandemic, must have been especially hard for your staff, but in our experience, they’ve managed incredibly well during this difficult time – never complaining, always professional, and completely reliable. And even though we haven’t been able to visit as often recently, it’s comforting to know that David is in their capable hands.
