Mark Llach joined our program in July 2021. Originally from Los Angeles, he later moved to Grass Valley, where he continued to grow as an individual and as an artist. Anyone who spends time with Mark quickly learns that he is a kind and thoughtful person who is passionate about the things he loves, especially his artwork.
Art is at the heart of Mark’s daily life. Mark attends a day program that supports him in sharing and selling his artwork in the community. His creativity continues to shine, and he spends much of his day working on new pieces and enjoying time with staff and peers who admire his talent and dedication.
Mark also has a love for good food and simple pleasures. His favorite meal is liver and onions, and his favorite desserts are lemon meringue pie and pineapple upside-down cake. A cup of coffee is never far from his side, especially when he is focused on his art.
Looking ahead, Mark hopes to find a job in the community. He has shared that earning his own money allows him to do something he enjoys like going shopping at Target. With his motivation, personality, and continued support, we are excited to work alongside him as he pursues this goal.
We are grateful to have Mark as part of our community. His creativity, warm presence, and unique personality enrich the lives of those around him every day.
