StepStone Foster Parent Recruitment Manager Receives 2024 Children’s Bureau and Adopt US Kids Excellence Award

Congratulations to Elisia Manuel, StepStone Family & Youth Services Foster Parent Recruitment Manager, for being awarded the 2024 Excellence Award from the Children’s Bureau and Adopt US Kids. The awards recognize people and organizations that have significantly contributed to increasing the number of foster youth adopted or placed in other permanent homes.

“This recognition is a reflection of the incredible journey I’ve been privileged to walk alongside children, families, and communities,” said Elisia. “This recognition inspires me to keep moving forward, keep dreaming bigger, and keep supporting inclusion and equity for all individuals. Let’s continue this journey together!”

Elisia Manuel Sacaton, AZ Elisia, American Indian herself, founded Three Precious Miracles in 2014. A non-profit established to provide resources so that Native American Children would be placed with a basic care package to help them in their new environment when removed from their homes. It has grown to provide programming, trainings, resources, cultural event, and more to Native American children who are displaced so they may have a positive, culturally sensitive home and establish cultural permanency within homes and the community. All of her work is geared toward promoting legal, relational and cultural permanency for children and families that are a part of the Native Community. Through Three Precious Miracles, Elisia has provided thousands of children with basic resources, helped to streamline complex systems for families, created cultural and natural linkages to licensing agencies, and supported foster and kinship families through systems navigation and involvement.
