Sue has been a valued employee of the company for six years. She had no previous experience in this field but has excelled as a DSP, working with clients with mental health diagnoses. She can always be counted on by being there for the clients, which includes taking them wherever they need to go or to outings within the community and assisting them with anything they need. Using constant redirection and encouragement is how Sue helps them to achieve their goals.
Sue’s great personality makes her the person everyone wants to be around. She constantly interacts with the clients, encouraging them to go to new and exciting places in the community, gardening, exercise groups, garage sales, cooking, baking, dancing, and so on. Sue also assists the clients with connecting with their families. She shows compassion and empathy to clients and coworkers and always tries to involve the clients in her daily routine to make them feel involved.
Sue is a hard-working, dedicated employee, always willing to go the extra mile in everything she does. She is a caring, fun-loving employee, a team player, and deserving of the DSP of the Year award.
