ResCare HomeCare Team Member Saves Multiple Lives in House Fire

Home Health Care / July 25, 2019

ResCare HomeCare team member, Jennifer Blair, recently saved multiple lives in Valdosta, Georgia.

Jennifer, a licensed practical nurse (LPN), was on a routine supervisory home visit with an individual when a grease fire broke out. The fire quickly spread, engulfing the entire kitchen.

Without hesitation, Jennifer got the individual, two small children and two other adults out of the home as fast as possible. A total of five people!

Firefighters arrived within minutes and were able to put out the fire. Jennifer was treated for smoke inhalation and is doing fine.

“She is a true hero!” ResCare HomeCare Executive Director Tracy Castellaw said.
