Adoration Home Health Registered Nurse Shannon Ball has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Lebanon, VA.
Shannon’s region in Virginia experienced significant devastation from Hurricane Helene. Much of their coverage area is without power, including one small town that is completely destroyed and not reachable. The operation tried to locate a few patients in this area and had been unsuccessful, causing great worry.
Shannon set out on a mission to locate the individuals and make sure they were alright. She showed her badge to the National Guard to gain access to the area, then used her four-wheel drive to find each patient, confirmed they were safe, and ensured they had all needed resources.
One individual had no power and was in need of his oxygen. The durable medical equipment (DME) provider had said they would not be able to get to the patient for another couple of days. Determined to help, Shannon stepped up, venturing to the patient’s house and assisting with their generator.
Shannon, thank You for being an example and helping those around you in a time of dire need. Your commitment to providing the high-quality care your patients require demonstrates selflessness and compassion. The support you provide will ensure each client can continue to live their best lives.
WORK SMART. DO GOOD.
