Amerita Pharmacy Operations Manager Brian Ikeda, Pharmacy Technician Compoundings Kylee Gowan and Stephen Moore, Hemophilia Services Manager Caytlyn Kobata, Intake Coordinator Kristyn Paul, and Pharmacist Tim Tzeo have been Working Smart and Doing Good in Portland, OR.
The branch in Anchorage, AK, experienced an equipment failure on July 2, one of the busiest days of the year before a holiday weekend. The Portland team stepped in, helping mix and ship medications to critical patients in Alaska.
The team assisted in various capacities, allowing Anchorage to focus on fulfillment. They began managing all new hemophilia admissions while a new intake coordinator is trained in Anchorage and started processing all new hemophilia orders. The Portland team also helped with product procurement, ordering from several vendors and allowing Anchorage to remain stocked with necessary supplies.
Thank you, Portland team. You went above and beyond to demonstrate teamwork and servant Leadership, supporting both your colleagues and patients in a time of need. Your work enabled the continuation of high-quality care in Anchorage so that their patients can live their best lives.
