ResCare Community Living Maintenance Technician Adam Brock has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Sheridan, IN.
Recently, Adam had an idea to move the operation’s Wellness Clinic from the back of the building where nursing offices are located to the front of the building in an office space that had been vacated. By the next week, he had decorated the new space, hung a TV, arranged seating, and included sensory items, toys, and coloring books. He also installed shelving for storage and included a doorbell so nurses can be made aware when individuals arrive.
Human Resources Generalist Melissa Smith and Wellness Nurse Mirabel Otumunye have received positive feedback from Direct Support Professionals and Leads, stating how much happier clients are to come to the Wellness Clinic and how much more relaxed and at ease they seem to be in the space that was designed for them.
