ResCare Community Living Direct Support Professional Amber Vilums has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Watertown, WI.
Amber is attentive to each client and their needs. One of her individuals suffers from heavy body spasms and seizures, and Amber has found ways to help them relax through music, light, and smell therapies. These techniques lessen the spasms and help the individual feel more comfortable.
Executive Director Nicole McMillan says, “Amber’s bright personality and energy excite residents, who are enthusiastic about the activities and gatherings she plans. She takes each client into consideration when organizing an event and advocates for them.”
Amber is reliable and motivated in her position. She does everything possible to enrich the lives of both her clients and colleagues, including training new staff to provide personalized, high-quality care. She supports and encouragements everyone she works with, listening to concerns and celebrating accomplishments.
