ResCare Community Living Direct Support Professional Imelda Eclevia has been Working Smart and Doing Good in San Diego, CA.
Throughout Imelda’s 16-year career with ResCare, she has ensured that each person she supports receives compassionate, individualized care. When she noticed that her nonverbal residents were becoming frustrated due to their inability to express their needs, Imelda took the time to observe and learn their unique forms of communication through facial expressions, vocalizations, and gestures, enabling her to better understand and interact with them.
Imelda is committed to understanding each resident’s goals and the significance behind them. She actively engages by asking thoughtful questions to gain deeper insights and consistently implements personalized care plans. Offering constructive feedback, she closely monitors each client’s condition and behavior while maintaining daily progress notes. Her documentation ensures that each person’s goals and activities can be evaluated and adjusted as needed.
