ResCare Community Living Behavior Technician Johnathan Capron has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Phoenix, AZ.
Johnathan demonstrates his commitment to promoting person-centered plans in his work with one client who experiences significant behavioral challenges. This individual had previously resisted wearing clothes, but Johnathan patiently introduced enjoyable activities that required clothing, such as group mealtimes or community walks. By pairing something challenging with something motivating, his innovations helped the client gradually accept change without resistance.
The same individual also had a habit of spending extended periods of time in the bathtub due to his love for water. Rather than limiting bathtime, which would have impacted his quality of life, Johnathan redirected this passion into structured pool time. This approach turned a prior difficulty into an opportunity for recreation, health improvement, and social engagement with members of the community.
Thank you, Johnathan. You see the possibilities in your work each day, demonstrating a positive Attitude. Rather than focusing on the limitations of a client’s behavior, you see the potential and create opportunities for growth that allow them to live their best lives.
WORK SMART. DO GOOD.
