In honor of DSP Recognition Week, today we celebrate ResCare Community Living Direct Support Professional Justin Hendershot, who has been Working Smart and Doing Good in St. Clairsville, OH.
Justin has worked with ResCare for the past 17 years and chose this career because he wanted to make a difference in someone’s life. When asked what he finds most fulfilling about his job, Justin says “I like seeing the smiles on the individuals’ faces that let you know you have made a connection with an impact on them.”
Justin’s greatest achievement as a DSP has been working with one individual who is now able to prepare his own meals and pack his own lunches for work. He embraces what makes each client unique, acknowledging the importance of growth through learning and having an open mind.
