ResCare Community Living Director of Nursing Khadija Finger-Rigsby has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Arlington, TX.
Khadija is passionate about care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and about empowering others who share that same dedication. Since joining her department four months ago, she has faced challenges with grace to develop effective solutions, including improving turnover rates to near-complete retention.
Associate Executive Director Nicole Sampson says, “Khadija has brought transformative leadership to the Arlington operation. She has made an extraordinary impact in a short amount of time – revitalizing our nursing department and elevating the quality of care we provide to clients.”
One of Khadija’s initiatives was leading re-medicine delegation clinics for the entire operation to ensure every staff member was up to date on their training. Thanks to this effort, there has been improved medication accuracy, appointment attendance, team education, and client satisfaction.
