Charles Wardrip has served BrightSpring Health Services since June 2023. He joined as Sr. Vice President of IT Strategy and Operations and shortly after, he was promoted to Chief Digital and Technology Officer in April 2024.
Prior to BrightSpring, Charles served Kindred Healthcare, Inc. for more than 25 years. He held various senior leadership positions including Sr. Vice President & Chief Information Officer. In his latter role, he served as a key executive of the organization’s corporate senior leadership team – providing information and expertise in strategy, policy, operational performance measures, and more.
Charles also played a vital role at Humana, Inc. for almost two decades in various technical and managerial roles. Early in his career, he gained experience working in Humana’s hospitals where he developed a great appreciation for clinical, financial, and operational procedures which he carried with him throughout his career. In his role as Corporate Sr. Director Network Operations, he helped support the company in their development of the insurance division, and later was responsible for overseeing the implementation of computing platforms in 50+ military locations in support of their first military product. In addition, he spent two years independently providing services as an Executive Advisor for a healthcare company.
Charles studied science and business at the University of Louisville and continues to support the university in many ways. He resides in Louisville, KY, with his wife Nina and the two share three sons and three grandsons. As a family, they love traveling to new destinations and enjoy watching UofL sports games from anywhere in the world.
