What’s your proudest professional achievement in your current role? My proudest professional achievement in my current role and at my time at BrightSpring has been “creating something out of nothing” all the time!
That can be said for most of the process improvement, implementation and M&A projects that I have managed. When I came to BrightSpring, the PMO (Project Management Office) was newly formed and lacked true project, program and portfolio governance as well as financial investment visibility.
In my first few months, we implemented a monthly executive project review meeting so that leaders could receive regular updates on the status of their annual capital improvement investments. We also instituted a project intake process so that project requests were centrally ingested into the EPMO (Executive Project Management Office) for the entire organization. From there, analysis is completed to determine if the project should be implemented or not, considering level of effort, return on investment, and strategic priority.
Lastly, the CEO asked me to standup a capital budgeting process for IT over Thanksgiving weekend for a budget that was due the month prior, and I got it done in three days.
