Congratulations to the Florida Haven Hospice team. They are the recipients of two 2025 Awards of Excellence from the Florida Hospice and Palliative Care Association (FHPCA).
Haven Director of Clinical Operations Kristal Goodwin was awarded the Barbara Jensosko Excellence in Leadership Award. The award recognizes a manager whose work has promoted the advancement of hospice and palliative care and demonstrates exceptional service, creativity, and leadership in their hospice program and inter-organizational relationships.
The Tri-County Hospice Care Center team in Chiefland, Florida, received the Synergy Award for their outstanding service in the wake of widespread hurricane destruction. The award recognizes a group of people who consistently demonstrate the ideals of collaboration and teamwork in working toward a goal or mission.
“We are incredibly proud of our FHPCA award winners,” said Haven Hospice Vice President of Business Development Jen Malko. “Kristal and the members of the Chiefland team live out Haven’s mission of ‘honoring life by providing comfort, care, and compassion to individuals and families we serve’ every day. It is an honor to have them on our team and we are thrilled their contributions were recognized by the FHPCA.”
The Haven’s leaders nominated the winners for their outstanding commitment to patients and families, their peers, and the profession. Their nominations detailed the respective team members’ unique contributions and extensive involvement at Haven and in the community. They were recognized and awarded a plaque at the FHPCA’s 40th Forum’s awards ceremony.
