As part of the BrightSpring National Lecture Series, Chief Medical Officer Dr. William Mills delivered an online presentation on September 16, 2020, looking at hospitalization rates and days spent at home as care measures for individuals with I/DD.

Hospitalization rate and days spent at home have emerged as appropriate outcome measures that result in quality care at a lower cost for people with I/DD. Between October 1, 2018, and September 30, 2019, ResCare clients with I/DD spent an average of 360 days per year at home in the community, outside of hospitals and nursing homes.
