BrightSpring Chief Compliance Officer provides insight and expertise at annual meeting for healthcare executives

BrightSpring Health Services / March 20, 2019

BrightSpring Health Services Chief Compliance Officer Rachael Kurzer Givens recently attended the Middle Tennessee chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHEMT) Annual Meeting and participated as a key panelist for its “Intersection of Safety, Quality and Operations” seminar.

The seminar at the ACHEMT annual meeting was a response to the recent release of “Leading a Culture of Safety: A Blueprint for Success”, developed by The American College of Healthcare Executives in partnership with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement/National Patient Safety Foundation Lucian Leape Institute. The intent was to help healthcare leaders drive, create and sustain a culture of safety.

Givens was appointed chief compliance officer in February 2019 and has been a part of BrightSpring’s quality and regulatory compliance team for more than 20 years. She is responsible for overseeing all compliance practices and efforts, including defining and supporting internal policies and procedures to assure that the company is compliant with all local, state, federal and third-party laws and regulations. She also plays a pivotal role with managing audits and investigations in regulatory and compliance issues, in addition to acknowledging information requests from regulatory organizations.
