Independent Living Systems recently held a ribbon cutting for the first ILS Pharmacy, a new pharmacy solution that provides comprehensive services to ensure safe, on-time, and accurate prescription and over-the-counter medication delivery to Miami’s senior living community.
ILS Pharmacy is a partnership that combines the expertise of Independent Living Systems, a leading provider of health and social services for complex populations in the Medicare, Medicaid, and Dual-Eligible markets, with pharmacy expert PharMerica, a leading national pharmacy services provider.

For many seniors, traveling to a pharmacy to pick-up critical medication can be difficult. The ILS Pharmacy will make home and senior living facility deliveries to ease the burden seniors may face. The pharmacy is expected to be fully operational in early 2024.

The pharmacy is part of a larger ILS commitment to direct to home services after recently being licensed as a Home Medical Equipment Provider, meaning that it can provide critical durable medical equipment for the home to partnering health care organizations and the general public, and expanding its home health business.
