It is with much gratitude that we announce the retirement of Bob Dries, President of PharMerica, for all of the tremendous contributions he has made to our company, customers and patients, as well as the industry.

While Bob has planned this period of time for himself and his family for several years, it is nonetheless a loss for the organization now that it is upon us. Bob has served our organization extremely well in fostering a positive culture, enhancing our strategy, growth and diversification, and leading a significant transformation at PharMerica in his time here, all through changing external environments. We are far better as a company today with a strong foundation, unique platform and very bright future. Moreover, Bob’s steady leadership during an exciting but sensitive and important time during the sale of PharMerica, and subsequent integration with BrightSpring, over three years ago leaves a valuable legacy.

Overall, Bob has a long history of success driving critical business initiatives and leading companies during his 30-year career. He played a central role in the successful BrightSpring/PharMerica merger in March 2019 with a strong commitment to all team members, and over the past three years PharMerica (including Onco360 and Amerita) has diversified into eight pharmacy businesses, with over 180 pharmacy locations and annual revenues of $4.4 billion. Through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions and integrations, the company’s pharmacy business has achieved a revenue and EBITDA compounded annual grow rate of 18% and 16%, while strengthening its scale and platform strength. Throughout it all, PharMerica has continued to demonstrate and improve upon industry-leading Net Promoter Scores and service quality metrics across its businesses, which are best-in-class in the company’s markets.

“In working closely with Bob over the past three years, I quickly came to value his strategic insights, operational expertise and focus on people,” said Jon Rousseau, President and CEO, BrightSpring Health Services. “Bob is a thoughtful, steady and unique leader who values customers, patients and quality. He has outstanding integrity, and I am very grateful for both his business acumen and personal friendship.”

“It has been an honor and privilege to serve as President of PharMerica, and to do so through such an important and exciting time,” said Bob. “I am extremely proud of our company and our commitment to quality, service and compassion to those we serve. BrightSpring/PharMerica is a special company with terrific leaders and dedicated and caring people, and I will always cherish the many special relationships formed. I am confident that our company is more well positioned for the future than ever, with a strong team and unique capabilities, and I look forward to our continued innovation and success.”
