BrightSpring CIO receives IT leadership award; Featured in podcast

Providing Thought Leadership / December 9, 2018

Congratulations to BrightSpring Health Services Chief Information Officer Brian Barnes, who was named a Louisville Tech Power Player by the Lead Tribune Group and ComSpark Magazine. Along with receiving the honor, Dr. Barnes was also featured in the ComSpark Magazine podcast.

The Louisville Tech Power Player Awards celebrate the region’s leading technology executives and thought leaders who champion technology. Recipients were featured in vignettes and recognized on stage at an awards luncheon in front of technology and innovation experts across the Greater Louisville area.

“We care for people with intellectual disabilities, folks who are struggling in life, as well as folks who would like to remain in their homes and not go into assisted living facilities,” said Dr. Barnes when asked about how technology impacts his work life. “So, as you think about the different populations who are at risk – folks who have particular healthcare challenges that we solve – the ability to take all that information of what’s happening with their care, wrap analytics around that to improve the level of care that’s being given – It’s a huge transformation for us and it’s a huge transformation in pretty much every industry that’s out there today.”
