Congratulations to ResCare’s Vice President of Kentucky Operations Shannon McCracken, who was named among Louisville Business First’s list of “20 People to Know: Aging Care.”
Louisville Business First created the “20 People to Know” list to introduce readers to people who are achievers in their organizations.
“ResCare is a leader in this industry for aging adults with disabilities, allowing them the independence they deserve, through unique technology supports,” McCracken told Business First, responding to a question about technology. “Sensors, alarms and remote monitoring by caregivers provide safety and support to allow people to age in place.”
The publication also asked McCracken to describe her favorite part of the job.
“Ensuring quality supports in a home and community-based setting model, which is more fiscally responsible and better for people’s health and happiness throughout their lifespan,” McCracken said. “Home-based care has resulted in people born with intellectual and development disabilities living longer, healthier and happier lives, resulting in this unprecedented population of seniors.”
