Abode Hospice Executive Director Laurie Indvik has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Woodbury, MN.
Laurie is a winner of the 2024 Hospice LEGACY Leader of the Year award. She serves as Executive Director for four sites in Minnesota and has maintained a culture where employees are valued and appreciated, clinical excellence is most important, and the entire team supports the growth of the region.
In 2023, Laurie demonstrated leadership as her team recruited and hired staff for two start-up locations while also completing the preparation, survey readiness, and regulatory requirements prior to opening the operations. They successfully opened both, achieving unprecedented growth while maintaining a focus on customer service and quality care.
Laurie understands the local community in Minnesota. She fostered a partnership with the business development leader for the area, which has been instrumental to relationship-building in the region and understanding the market landscape. With her guidance, the operation showed results in both admissions and ADC growth in addition to exceeding their EBITDA budget and maintaining a low-risk state composite score.
