Embrace Hospice Director of Business Development Stacy Buck has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Kerrville, TX.
In the wake of the devastating floods that struck Hill Country in Texas, Stacy sprang into action. She opened her home to a rescue team from Mississippi, including their dogs and horses. Her swift and selfless response was instrumental in ensuring that critical support reached those in need.
Stacy played a key role in facilitating the presence of a chaplain for bereavement support at a local nursing home, the final resting place for four flood victims. Her compassion brought comfort to both staff and residents during a difficult time. Stacy continues to remain involved in relief efforts in the weeks since. She has compiled and shared lists of urgently needed items, coordinated housing for out-of-state rescue teams, distributed supplies to affected areas, and taken the lead in developing a community bereavement center in partnership with Embrace to support healing and connection.
