Equus Workforce Solutions Project Director Karen Masters is Working Smart and Doing Good in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties in Pennsylvania.
Karen is the winner of the 2022 Project Director of the Year award, which recognizes an Equus project leader who goes above and beyond leading their team, providing exemplary services to the community and exceeding contract and performance expectations.
Karen leads by example, and her main goal in everything she does is to make an impact in the community she serves, while creating a people-focused environment. Across her multiple contracts, Karen operates more than 100 performance measures and consistently delivers 98% to 100% on customer satisfaction rates.
When asked about Karen, her team members shared the following comments: “Karen makes us feel like we are a unit and a team.” Another team member stated, “Karen always ensures that my voice is heard, meaning she follows up on my feedback regarding outreach, follow-up and tracking best practices. She always provides honest feedback and recognizes the importance of my work.”
During the award ceremony, Equus Workforce Solutions President Mark Douglass recollected working with Karen when she was a project supervisor and being promoted to the project manager role: “One of her first questions was ‘are you sure I’m ready?’ There’s never been any question about that,” he said.
Karen thank you for Leading from the front and everything you do every day to foster a people-focused Environment!
WORK SMART. DO GOOD.
