Pate Rehabilitation Case Manager Assistant Adriana Lozano has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Dallas, TX.
Adriana is the 2023 winner of the Pate Rehabilitation Ben Hayden Award. She has worked with Pate for over 15 years and demonstrates their core values on a daily basis as she communicates with patients, family members, staff, and the community. Special Project Manger Mary Kathryn Tucker says, “She is constantly trying to make the rehab environment festive, fun, and like a home-away-from-home for all of our patients.”
Empowerment is an important Pate value for Adriana, and she demonstrates this by allowing patients to choose activities that make them feel like they are in charge of their own actions and plans. She finds ways to incorporate each person’s culture and preferences when interacting with them and thinks of creative means to provide a positive environment for everyone.
