All Ways Caring HomeCare Area Supervisor Cordell Berry has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Austin, TX.
Cordell has a degree in health services and has always wanted to make an impact and help other people. He started working with ResCare Community Living in June 2021 after moving to Texas from Louisiana. Area Supervisor was a completely new position for him, but he accepted the challenge and quickly began to thrive in his role.
Cordell is the only Area Supervisor for the intermediate care facility (ICF) line of business in his region, but he works hard to assure that all homes have what they need and are always staffed appropriately. He will work additional shifts himself if one of his homes is in need. Regional Director Lorrie Robledo says, “He always has a smile on his face and his positive attitude never falters.”
Cordell exemplifies the person-centered approach, as he listens to and involves the individuals he supports in everything relating to their lives. He treats the people he supports as if they were members of his own family. Cordell sets this expectation for everyone around him as well, and his can-do attitude is contagious!
