Amerita employees Jamie Haselhorst, RDN, LD, CNSC, Debbie Stevenson, MS, RDN, CNSC, Francine Gagliardotto, RPh, and Andrew DePalma have been Working Smart and Doing Good.
The team’s peer-reviewed study, “Impact of a Multidisciplinary Nutritional Support Team on Quality Improvement for Patients Receiving Parenteral Nutrition,” was recently published in BMJ Nutrition, Prevention, and Health. Richard Iriye, CEO and President of Amerita, says “this new research will help us to more effectively treat patients who receive home parenteral nutritional support.”
This study was conducted on behalf of the Amerita Quality Improvement Project for Home Parenteral Nutrition Patients. The research team found that adhering to recommendations from a multidisciplinary nutritional support team contributed to improving patients’ self-reported overall health and reduced adverse outcomes. “Amerita utilizes patient-centered research to help improve specialized care,” states Iriye, and the research done by this team demonstrates their dedication to ensuring top-quality care.
Congratulations Jamie, Debbie, Francine, and Andrew, on this accomplishment. Thank you for your Leadership in conducting this important research, Communication in sharing it with others, and helping people live their best lives!
