On Tuesday, September 26, we recognized HR Professionals Day. Brightway Community Living HR Generalist Shawn Hawkins has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Oklahoma City, OK.
Shawn currently supervises the three human resources assistants and one training coordinator in Oklahoma. His goal is continued improvement of HR team efficiency through streamlining processes, integrating tracking, and keeping everyone at the Oklahoma operation in the know.
Shawn is always willing to help and answer questions. One way he has assisted his operation is by creating a corrective action tracker that he uses to ensure approvals and other returned documents are received in a timely manner. The tracker automatically changes color when the forms are returned. Other operations are looking at utilizing this tracker as well.
Shawn is dependable and can be counted on to get the job done. He wants everyone to succeed and ensures they have the tools that they need to reach their goals. Retention is also very important to Shawn, and he runs the operation’s recruitment and retention meetings each month, always seeking new ideas while regularly following through on existing processes.
