Today, we observe Women Pharmacists Day and learn more about one of our PharMerica employees who is helping other people live their best lives.
PharMerica Director of Pharmacy Angela Bomgaars has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Sioux Falls, SD.
A career in pharmacy has been a rewarding experience for Angela since she started her career with PharMerica almost five years ago. She says, “I enjoy working with and assisting other health professionals, and knowing I am making a difference and improving overall patient outcomes.”
Pharmacy was a natural trajectory for Angela. She wanted to use her talents and passion for science and math to improve people’s health, treat illnesses, and minimize pain. Within the medical field, pharmacy was appealing to Angela because of their role in every health care team. She values Communication within the industry, encouraging new employees to find a mentor and to never be afraid to ask questions.
