Today, we recognize Pharmacy Technician Day and learn more about one of our PharMerica employees who is helping other people live their best lives.
PharMerica Pharmacy Technician Julie Davis has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Warwick, RI.
Julie knows how to Get Going. After coming into her position with little prior pharmacy experience, she has taken the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a long-term care pharmacy and makes an effort to learn something new every day. She takes pride in knowing she is able to make a difference in her career.
Primarily working in data entry, Julie has a tremendous responsibility in managing the first step for the process of filling prescriptions. Through typing new prescriptions, refilling medications, and adjudicating prescription claims, Julie focuses on the quality of care for others while also finding ways to bolster her own skillset and knowledge base.
Julie prioritizes making connections daily, from her direct coworkers, to the nurses, and the residents at the facilities they service. She uses these connections to generate a more effective care Environment while continuing to learn more about her industry.
