ResCare Community Living Direct Support Professional Jocelyn Ong has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Chula Vista, CA.
Jocelyn is a team player and has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills throughout her tenure. Other employees look to her for guidance as she adapts to new situations quickly and is not afraid to take on new challenges. She encourages collaboration among staff to provide their individuals with the highest-quality care.
Jocelyn promotes the well-being of each person in the home. She is particularly observant of non-verbal individuals, ensuring all of their needs are met. She understands the communication methods of each client, recognizing and reporting if someone is not feeling well and requires more support.
Jocelyn’s focus on relationships in evident in her daily actions. She goes above and beyond for individuals’ birthdays, making sure each person is able to enjoy their special day to the fullest. She will come in to work on her days off to celebrate, bringing the individual a birthday present and joining the other staff in a celebration.
