ResCare Community Living Office Coordinator Leilani Reef has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Sheridan, IN.
Leilani began her career with Cardinal Special Care in November 1992 and became the Office Coordinator for Normal Life when they acquired Cardinal Special Care in March 1993. This year, Leilani is celebrating 30 years of service with ResCare Community Living.
Leilani’s quality of work, acts of service, and commitment are unmatched. She goes above and beyond the expectations of her duties daily, embracing our values and vision. Even through the simplest gestures, like searching office closets for additional seatbelts for vans, inviting individuals to her office to color or eat lunch, and providing guidance to staff, Leilani embodies what a caregiver and leader should be. She has become the go-to person in Sheridan due to her years of expertise and overall attention to detail.
Philanthropy is also important to Leilani. She wears red on Fridays to support domestic abuse survivors, donates her time to the State Fair each summer, collects bottle caps for Buddy Benches, and seeks out other ways she can give back to the community. HR Generalist Melissa Smith says, “Many refer to Leilani as the ‘Office Owl’ for her wisdom or the ‘Office Mom’ for her compassion and care.”
