Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary

Jeff Hopper serves as our Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary.

Prior to joining BrightSpring, Mr. Hopper had a 30-year career at the law firm Barnes & Thornburg and was a member of the firm’s corporate department and healthcare industry practice group. Mr. Hopper also served on Barnes & Thornburg’s management committee for 13 years and as the partner in charge of legal personnel for 18 years. For the past 10 years, Mr. Hopper was the partner in charge of our relationship with Barnes & Thornburg, and since late 2024 we have contracted with Barnes & Thornburg to serve as our outside contract counsel. 

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Mr. Hopper worked in various roles including as a Commercial Loan Officer at a middle market Chicago bank and with the United States Department of Labor. Mr. Hopper received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business, and his law degree (J.D.), with honors, from DePaul University College of Law, where he served as a writer on law review and received the dean’s scholarship for academic excellence and Order of the Coif. 

Mr. Hopper is an active community volunteer, currently serving as a high school tennis coach and previously serving on the board of directors of Junior Achievement, as well as a board member and volunteer president of the RCA Championships. He resides in Indianapolis, Indiana, and has three children.
