NADONA/LTC Announces the Nurse Memorial Scholarship Recipients Sponsored by PharMerica

July 14, 2026

The National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long-Term Care (NADONA/LTC) announces the winners of their nurse scholarships.

The Nurse Scholarship Awards (formerly the Stephanie Carroll Scholarship) in honor of NADONA’s fallen nurse leaders are intended for nursing students who are enrolled in an accredited nursing or undergraduate program and have chosen long-term care or geriatrics as their practice area after graduation.

Our Executive Director, Cindy Fronning, said it so well: “We are so proud to partner with PharMerica for over 16 years to award these scholarships to deserving members of our nursing communities. With the severe shortage of nursing staff, we need to encourage and reinforce how important it is to support them. In helping them achieve their career goals, we also assist in providing the highest quality care for residents, their families, and their loved ones who depend upon us and our well-trained and educated staff!”

Rebecca Wingate, Vice President of Clinical Operations at PharMerica, stated, “We are honored to support long-term care nursing with these scholarship awards. We admire the dedication and compassion of those who choose that profession, and we recognize their valuable contributions towards helping residents live their best lives. We wish this year’s scholarship winners the best in their educational and professional pursuits and thank them for their commitment.”

The 2026 recipients and their award amounts paid directly to their college/university to assist with their nursing education are:
