Keeping Families Connected in Springfield
SpringHealth Behavioral Health & Integrated Care
Operations Coordinator Kayla Perkins has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Springfield, IL. Recognized with the LEGACY Award by SpringHealth Behavioral Health & Integrated Care, Kayla’s work reflects BrightSpring’s LEGACY value of Communication — seen in the steady presence she keeps for branch teams, managers, and clinical staff across the country.
Managing schedules across two clinics is no small task. Kayla approaches each day with a clear system and a steady hand, proactively filling gaps before they become problems and getting changes to the right people the moment they happen. She keeps teams and families informed as soon as anything shifts, and she brings the same calm, solutions-focused energy whether she’s navigating a complex intake or helping a tech through a difficult week. Watching the children she serves grow is the best part of her job, according to Kayla.
“I think the biggest reward is seeing our kiddos transition to school and then graduate from services. Being at SpringHealth long enough, you see families completely change in real time as therapy progresses. Seeing them leave us is always bittersweet, but we are excited they’ve done the growing, so they don’t need us anymore,” said Kayla.
For the children and families at the heart of this work, that perspective is everything. The children she helps schedule build skills over time. Continuity is what makes that possible, and Kayla protects it with every schedule she creates.
Congratulations, Kayla. Your commitment to Communication keeps the people around you connected, informed, and ready to do their best work for the families who depend on them.
