A National Pharmacy Week Salute to Medina
PharMerica
During National Pharmacy Week, we celebrate PharMerica Pharmacist Barry Pamula who has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Medina, OH. Named Pharmacist of the Year, he leads in a way that reflects BrightSpring’s LEGACY value of Leadership.
Barry has been a cornerstone of the pharmacy since the Westlake team merged into Medina, and over the past year he has trained both the pharmacists who transferred in and the new hires who followed. As the most tenured pharmacist on the team, he wears many hats and sets the tone for the day, modeling the kind of work ethic others follow without being asked. His long history in long-term care pharmacy makes him the person colleagues turn to when a situation is unfamiliar, and he meets each one with the same steadiness. “Barry leads with a wealth of knowledge that he’s able to communicate to pharmacists and technicians alike. His first priority is always getting the job done for our patients while also creating comradery among the team,” said Pharmacy Director Shane Phillips.
That reliability carries all the way to the people the pharmacy serves. When Barry closes, the day’s work is finished and accurate, which means the residents and care communities counting on those medications receive them on time and without worry. National Pharmacy Week is a fitting moment to notice that kind of work, which tends to go unseen precisely when it is done well.
Congratulations, Barry. Your Leadership continues to guide and support your team, and the standard you quietly set reaches every patient who depends on the pharmacy getting it right.
Work Smart. Do Good.
