The Way We Lead

The Leader Who Picks Up the On-Call Phone

Adoration Home Health

Adoration Home Health Area Vice President of Operations Tara Werner, RN, has been Working Smart and Doing Good in Pittsburgh, PA. Honored as the AVP LEGACY in Action recipient for the North Region, she is recognized for a readiness to Get Going wherever the work is heaviest, including work that was never hers to begin with.

Tara was new to Adoration herself when she took on operations across Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, and she did not treat that as a reason to move slowly. She has since become the person newer operations leaders call when they are unsure, and they get the same calm, consistent guidance every time. The challenges in front of her have been real ones, and her answer to each has been some version of “we can do this,” followed by a determination to find the solution. When a location falls behind on its workflow, she rolls up her sleeves and helps them catch up; when a director is away, she covers the on-call phone herself.

Patients are the reason any of that matters. A call answered when the office is closed is a family not left waiting, and a branch that has caught up is a branch where visits get scheduled and clinicians arrive with what they need. Across four states, Tara stays focused on her people and on how the work is actually going, and she keeps her teams supported so operations can keep moving forward.

Congratulations, Tara. The way you Get Going for your teams and communities means help arrives before anyone has to ask for it twice.

Work Smart. Do Good.
